Description

River Thames, A Walk Along London’s River

The River Thames is central to the existence of the City of London. For centuries it has brought trade to and from the City. It has been the main source of water, the sewer, and the main transport highway. Come on this lovely riverside historic walk to learn about the river; it’s bridges, it’s boats, it’s people. Along it’s waterfront there is a wealth of historic buildings and they all have a story to tell. Many of London’s most iconic sites are along the Thames, like Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral. We can see The Shard, yet we can also see traces of industries and activities from centuries ago.
